Junior Database Administrator



As a Junior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing databases to ensure data integrity and availability. You will work closely with senior DBAs to learn best practices and gain hands-on experience in database management. This is a full-time position in Kolding, offering a competitive salary of 1000$. No prior experience in database administration is required, and we are open to providing visa sponsorship for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with database installations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Implement security measures to protect data from unauthorized access
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans
- Identify and implement improvements to optimize database performance
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems
- Document all database processes and procedures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with SQL programming language
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:
- Prior experience in database administration or related field
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Associate)
- Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)
- Understanding of cloud databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
