Accountant - Bungoma, Canada


As an Accountant in our Bungoma office, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. Your role will involve analyzing financial information, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including accounts receivable/payable, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and review expense reports
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing recommendations for improvements
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
- Assist with annual audits and tax filings
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and regulations pertaining to accounting practices
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
