Librarian (English Speaking)


We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team at a prestigious international school in Al Buraymi. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's resources, assisting students and teachers with research, and promoting a love for reading among students.

Key responsibilities:
- Manage the school library's collection of books, magazines, and other resources
- Catalogue new materials and ensure they are organized and easily accessible
- Assist students and teachers with research projects, providing guidance on effective research methods and online databases
- Conduct regular library orientations to introduce students to the library's resources and services
- Promote reading by organizing book clubs, author visits, and other literary events for students
- Collaborate with teachers to support their curriculum by providing relevant resources and materials
- Ensure that all library equipment is properly maintained and functioning
- Keep track of the library budget and make recommendations for new purchases

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Librarian in an educational setting
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to work with students, teachers, and parents from diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with online databases and digital resources
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

This is a contract position for one academic year, with the possibility of renewal. The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.
