Senior Accountant - Muharraq, Bahrain


We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Muharraq, Bahrain. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review
- Monitor cash flow and manage budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and employee expenses
- Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies or errors in financial data
- Liaise with external auditors for year-end audits
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with local laws
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior-level accounting role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
