Network and Systems Administrator

We are hiring a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team in Washington, USA. As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of our company's network and computer systems. Your main goal will be to ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Manage user accounts, permissions, email, and anti-virus software
- Maintain network security through regular updates and patches
- Perform system backups and disaster recovery planning
- Ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest software versions
- Provide technical support to end users for hardware, software, and networking related issues
- Collaborate with other IT team members to develop solutions for complex technical problems

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Proven work experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), routing/switching technologies, firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN design principles
- Experience with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: $1600 per month

Location: Washington DC
