Contract Typesetter in Las Vegas, Canada



We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Typesetter to join our team on a contract basis in Las Vegas, Canada. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text, images, and other design elements to create visually appealing and readable documents.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize software programs such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress to typeset various materials including books, magazines, newspapers, and marketing materials
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in font usage, spacing, alignment, and overall design layout
- Collaborate with editors, graphic designers, and clients to understand project specifications and make necessary adjustments
- Proofread final documents for errors in spelling, grammar, and formatting
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Typesetter or similar role
- Proficient in using Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress software programs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency throughout different projects
- Excellent understanding of typography principles and design aesthetics
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills with the ability to take direction from others

This is a contract position that offers competitive compensation of 1200$ per project.
