Typesetter

A typesetter is responsible for creating and formatting written materials, such as books, magazines, and newspapers. They use specialized software to arrange text and images in a visually appealing and easy-to-read manner. A successful typesetter must have a keen eye for detail and be able to work quickly and efficiently. This position requires excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities:
- Use specialized software to format text and images for print or digital publication
- Ensure proper spacing, alignment, and consistency throughout the document
- Review proofs for errors or inconsistencies
- Collaborate with writers, editors, and designers to create visually appealing layouts
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards and advancements in typesetting technology
- Meet strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality work

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in typesetting or a related field
- Proficient in using typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of typography, layout design, and printing processes
- Familiarity with proofreading symbols and techniques
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box

Salary: $1200 per month

Location: Las Vegas, USA (Candidates from Kenya preferred)

- This position does not include accommodation.
