Executive Chef - Fine Dining Restaurant (Los Angeles)
Our high-end restaurant in Los Angeles is seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen operations, developing and implementing menu offerings, and ensuring the highest level of food quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Develop and update menu offerings in line with current trends and customer preferences
- Manage inventory and food cost to ensure profitability while maintaining high-quality standards
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, recipe execution, and safety procedures
- Collaborate with management to create special menus for events and promotions
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining restaurant setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Strong understanding of food cost control measures
- Creativity in menu development while staying on trend
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Own reliable transportation
Qualifications:
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a fine dining restaurant. A degree or diploma from a culinary institute is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills are essential for this role.
Salary: $1300 per week plus bonuses based on performance.
