Indian Pastry Chef in Bungoma
We are seeking an experienced and creative Indian Pastry Chef to join our team in Bungoma. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of delicious pastry dishes, as well as overseeing the kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for Indian cuisine and desserts, as well as excellent culinary skills and knowledge of different pastry techniques. You must also be able to work well under pressure and have excellent time management skills. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1800$ per month.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare a variety of Indian-inspired pastries, desserts, and baked goods
- Create new recipes and modify existing ones to meet customer preferences
- Oversee the kitchen operations, including ordering ingredients, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on pastry techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to develop new menu items and seasonal specials
- Monitor food costs and maintain budgetary requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Pastry Chef in an Indian cuisine restaurant or bakery
- In-depth knowledge of Indian desserts, pastries, and baking techniques
- Ability to create unique and delicious dishes that meet customer preferences
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and supervise kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
