Merchandiser Supervisor

As a Merchandiser Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the merchandising process and team in our Los Angeles location. Your main duties will include developing and implementing merchandising strategies, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, and analyzing sales data to make informed decisions. You will also be responsible for training and supervising a team of merchandisers to ensure high-quality and timely execution of all merchandising tasks.

To excel in this role, you should have excellent organizational and leadership skills, as well as experience in retail or wholesale merchandising. The ideal candidate should also have a strong understanding of market trends and consumer behavior. Excellent communication skills are also vital in this role as you will be liaising with various internal departments and external partners.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate prices, place orders, and ensure timely delivery
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages or overstocking
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and adjust strategies accordingly
- Train and supervise a team of merchandisers to ensure high-quality execution of tasks
- Conduct regular store visits to assess the effectiveness of merchandising displays
- Coordinate with marketing teams to plan promotional activities that align with merchandising strategies
- Communicate closely with cross-functional teams such as buying, planning, logistics, etc.
- Stay updated on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitors' activities

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or related field
- Previous experience in retail or wholesale merchandising
- Proven leadership experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of data analysis software is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Attention to detail
