Job Title: Head Chef


We are currently hiring an experienced and skilled Head Chef to join our team at a luxury resort in Malindi, Kenya. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1100 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Create and develop menus that showcase local Kenyan ingredients and flavors
- Train, manage, and schedule kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation regulations are followed
- Monitor food costs and make adjustments to maintain budget goals
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or themed menus
- Develop new dishes and recipes to keep menus fresh and appealing to guests
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a luxury resort or restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of Kenyan cuisine and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Degree or certification from a culinary school is preferred but not required
