Preservation Architect



We are seeking a talented Preservation Architect to join our team in Karachi. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures while ensuring they meet safety and building codes.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation and restoration work
- Develop plans for preserving and restoring historical buildings, including structural repairs, material replacements, and additions
- Ensure all preservation work meets safety and building codes
- Collaborate with contractors to oversee the execution of preservation plans
- Use specialized techniques and materials for preservation work, such as chemical treatments or traditional building methods
- Research historical documentation, materials, and techniques to ensure accuracy in preservation work
- Document all preservation work for historical records
- Maintain knowledge of current preservation practices and attend trainings or conferences as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations pertaining to historic structures
- Familiarity with specialized techniques and materials used in historic preservation
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to carefully research historical documentation
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with contractors, clients, and stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Passion for preserving history through architectural restoration
