Preservation Architect

The Preservation Architect will be responsible for designing and overseeing the preservation of historic buildings and sites in Lahore, Pakistan. This role requires a thorough understanding of architectural conservation principles and techniques, as well as the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders including government agencies, property owners, and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting site surveys and assessments to determine the condition of historic structures
- Developing preservation plans and strategies that adhere to local regulations and guidelines
- Preparing detailed drawings and specifications for restoration or rehabilitation projects
- Monitoring construction progress and ensuring that work is carried out according to preservation standards
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to address any structural issues or challenges
- Conducting research on historical significance and cultural significance of buildings and sites
- Providing recommendations for ongoing maintenance and preservation efforts

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in architectural preservation or restoration projects
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, materials, methods, and techniques used in historic buildings
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and guidelines related to historic preservation
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience using computer software such as AutoCAD or Revit for design purposes

This is a full-time position with a salary of 1000$ per month. The company will also provide accommodation for the successful candidate. Applicants must have their own visa or be eligible for work authorization in Pakistan.
