DevOps Developer

We are hiring a skilled DevOps Developer to join our team in Funchal. As a DevOps Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining systems that improve the speed and quality of software delivery. You will work closely with developers, system administrators, and other IT professionals to streamline processes and ensure efficient collaboration.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement automation tools for software deployment, monitoring and infrastructure management
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate code changes into automated build and deployment processes
- Create and maintain scripts for automated application testing
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability
- Continuously improve processes through automation and optimization
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in DevOps practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or related role
- Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef or similar
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby or Bash
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios or Datadog
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Biometric passport preferred but not required
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) principles
- Prior experience with configuration management tools like Git or SVN
