Sous Chef
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our team in Porto, Portugal. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to oversee the daily operations of the kitchen and ensure the highest quality of food is consistently delivered to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and food preparation
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in various cooking techniques and proper food handling procedures
- Manage inventory and control costs to meet budget targets
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet company standards
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients
- Ability to lead a team and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Relevant certification or degree from a culinary school is preferred
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1400$ per month, with potential for growth based on performance.
