Typesetter for Print Media

As a typesetter for our publishing company in Faro, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently setting type and arranging text, images, and graphics for print media publications. Your attention to detail and strong knowledge of typography will ensure that our publications are visually appealing and error-free. This position is ideal for students looking to gain experience in the publishing industry and offers accommodation.

Responsibilities:
- Use specialized software to layout and format text, images, and graphics for print media publications
- Review copy and make necessary edits to ensure accuracy
- Work closely with editors, designers, and other team members to create visually appealing layouts
- Follow brand guidelines to maintain consistency in design across all publications
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and software updates

Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of typography, layout design principles, and printing processes
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot errors
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Prior experience with typesetting or graphic design is preferred but not required

Salary: $1500 per month with accommodation provided.

Location: Faro, Portugal (Preference given to Portuguese nationals or those with valid work permits)
