Information Security Analyst


We are hiring an Information Security Analyst to join our team in Almada. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and experience in implementing security measures to protect the organization's data and systems. As an Information Security Analyst, you will work closely with our IT team to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. This is a contract position with accommodation provided, and visa sponsorship available for non-local candidates.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing
- Monitor network activities for any suspicious behavior or security breaches
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Perform regular audits on security systems, controls, and processes
- Respond to security incidents and conduct investigations when necessary
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices
- Collaborate with IT team to ensure security measures are integrated into system designs

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Information Security Analyst or similar role
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and techniques
- Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), etc.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify potential risks and provide solutions
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred:
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk management plans
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. GDPR)

Salary: 1000$ per month. This is a contract position.
