Heavy Equipment Operator



As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy machinery, such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. You will work on construction sites, mines, and other industrial projects in the city of Almada. This role is suitable for individuals with experience in operating heavy equipment and who are physically fit and able to work in demanding environments.

Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently according to company guidelines
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed
- Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times
- Complete necessary paperwork and daily reports accurately

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator or similar role
- Knowledge of various types of heavy machinery and their operation
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions from supervisors
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Willingness to work long hours, nights, weekends, or holidays as needed

Preferred:
- Certification or training in heavy equipment operation from a recognized institution
- Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment
- Familiarity with GPS technology
- Experience working on construction sites or in the mining industry

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1600 per month, with the possibility of overtime pay. Accommodation may be provided if needed.
