Senior Librarian

Position: Senior Librarian
Location: Bergen, Norway

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Librarian to join our team in Bergen. As the Senior Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our library, including overseeing staff, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring the smooth running of all library services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of librarians and support staff.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures in line with industry best practices.
- Oversee the acquisition, cataloguing, and preservation of library materials.
- Provide reference services to patrons.
- Plan and implement programs and events to promote literacy and education.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of librarianship.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a librarian, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of library systems and technologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Salary: $1400 per month
