We are hiring a skilled and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Bergen, Norway. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research needs, and promoting library resources to the community. This is an urgent position with a salary of $1400 per month.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection by cataloguing, shelving, and weeding materials
- Assist patrons with research needs and provide guidance on how to use library resources effectively
- Develop and implement programs that promote the library's resources and services to the community
- Create displays and exhibits to showcase new materials or promote specific themes
- Maintain accurate records of circulation, inventory, and patron information
- Train and supervise library staff, volunteers, and interns as needed
- Stay updated on current trends in librarianship and attend professional development opportunities

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
- Knowledge of cataloguing systems, reference tools, and research methods
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with diverse populations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using computer systems for database management
