Collection Agent
As a Collection Agent, you will be responsible for contacting and communicating with individuals who have outstanding debts. You will work to negotiate payment plans and arrangements, as well as follow up on delinquent accounts. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to effectively persuade clients to pay their debts. You will also be responsible for accurately documenting all interactions and updating client information.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Contacting debtors through various channels, such as phone calls, emails or letters
- Negotiating payment plans and settlements with delinquent clients
- Following up on overdue accounts and ensuring timely payments
- Maintaining accurate records of all communication and payments received
- Updating client information, including contact details and payment agreements
- Collaborating with other departments, such as legal or accounting, to resolve complex issues
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in finance is a plus
- Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to handle difficult conversations
- Familiarity with debt collection laws and regulations is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
Salary: $1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Zagreb, Croatia
