Executive Pastry Chef
We are in search of an experienced and creative Executive Pastry Chef to join our team in Balzers. As the Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the pastry department and creating delicious and visually appealing desserts for our restaurant. Your main duties will include managing the kitchen staff, developing new recipes, maintaining high quality standards, and ensuring efficient operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of various pastry techniques and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively
- Creative mindset with a passion for creating unique desserts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure well
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the pastry department, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Create new dessert recipes that align with our menu concept and appeal to our customers' tastes
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality standards are met
- Monitor food costs and control expenses by minimizing waste and optimizing portion sizes
- Collaborate with other chefs to plan menus and coordinate dessert offerings with other courses
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into our pastry menu
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Salary: $1000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
