Baker - Pastry Chef
Location: Oslo, Norway
We are seeking a skilled Baker - Pastry Chef to join our team in Oslo, Norway. As a Baker - Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, and desserts. Your main duties will include measuring and mixing ingredients, shaping dough, and decorating finished products. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory levels and ensuring the quality of all baked goods.
To excel in this role, you should have a creative flair for baking and a passion for creating delicious treats. You must also have excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef and be able to follow recipes accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to recipes
- Shape dough into various forms before baking
- Decorate finished products with icing or other toppings
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust as needed
- Maintain inventory levels of baking supplies
- Inspect baked goods for quality and consistency
- Clean work area and equipment after each shift
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred
- Proven experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef
- Knowledge of different types of flours, measuring techniques, and baking methods
- Ability to follow recipes accurately
- Creativity in decorating pastries and desserts
- Excellent time management skills
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time
- Attention to detail
