Experienced Pastry Chef in Nairobi, Kenya


We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious desserts and pastries for our customers. Your main goal will be to provide a delightful experience for our guests through your creative and high-quality pastry creations.

Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare various desserts and pastries according to traditional and modern recipes
- Design new pastry dishes that will attract customers' attention
- Ensure all pastries are made with high-quality ingredients
- Follow kitchen hygiene and safety standards at all times
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of quality ingredients
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies when needed
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff members
- Collaborate with other chefs and staff to plan menus for special events or occasions

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a reputable establishment
- Proven knowledge of various pastry techniques, tools, equipment, and ingredients
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality
- Excellent communication skills – fluent in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
- Creativity, passion for food, attention to detail, and a strong palate for flavors
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if needed

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1200$ per month along with other benefits such as health insurance, annual leave, staff meals, etc.
