Barista

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Barista to join our team in Bungoma. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and smoothies. You will also be expected to provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring that customers have an enjoyable experience.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages according to company standards
- Take orders from customers and answer any questions about menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the work area
- Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and blenders
- Ensure accurate cash handling when processing payments from customers
- Suggest drink options or upsell additional items to increase sales
- Keep track of inventory levels and inform management when supplies need to be restocked
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly manner
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar role
- Knowledge of different coffee types and brewing techniques is preferred
- Ability to operate various coffee-making equipment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new recipes and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent is required

Salary: 1600$
Location: Bungoma, Kenya (non-negotiable)
Nationality/Residence: Pakistani (preferred but not required)
