Office Assistant - Nakuru, Kenya
We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team in Nakuru, Kenya. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an office setting and be able to handle a variety of administrative tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors, answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate person
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, distributing, and preparing outgoing mail
- Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needed supplies, placing orders, and verifying receipt of supplies
- Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings for staff members
- Prepare reports, memos, letters, and other documents as needed
- Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
- Organize and maintain office common areas
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks such as creating invoices, recording payments, and reconciling accounts
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an office assistant or administrative role preferred
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
- Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping principles preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work legally in Kenya without visa sponsorship
- Indian nationality preferred but not required
Salary:
This position offers a salary of $1300 per month.
