Entry-Level Librarian



Are you a book lover with a passion for organization and information? We are seeking an Entry-Level Librarian to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As a librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, assisting patrons with research and information needs, and promoting literacy and learning.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library collection according to standard cataloging practices
- Assist patrons in finding resources, answering reference questions, and locating materials
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement library programs and events
- Promote literacy and learning by creating displays, recommending books, and providing resources to support education
- Manage circulation functions such as checking out materials, collecting fines, and maintaining accurate records
- Stay updated on current trends in literature, technology, and library practices

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
- Knowledge of library systems and databases preferred
- Passion for books and promoting literacy
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Salary: 1300$ per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Faro, Portugal (accommodation not provided)
