Job Title: Librarian Assistant

Our library in Faro is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Librarian Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided. We welcome applicants of all nationalities, but a valid biometric passport is required for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the librarian with cataloging and organizing materials
- Help patrons locate and check out materials
- Maintain the library's physical space, including shelving and cleaning
- Answer questions and provide guidance to patrons
- Process returns and handle fines/fees
- Assist with library events and programs as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Experience working in a library setting or similar customer service role
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in using library databases and computer systems
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
