Bilingual Interpreter


We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Interpreter to join our team in Alta, Norway. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient interpretation services between English and the target language. This includes interpreting spoken language as well as translating written documents. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in both languages and a strong understanding of cultural differences. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1400$ per month, including accommodation, visa sponsorship, and travel arrangements.

Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate interpretation services during meetings, conferences, and other business events
- Translate written documents from English to the target language and vice versa
- Effectively convey the tone, style, and substance of the original communication
- Research industry-specific terminology and prepare glossaries to ensure accurate interpretation
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Build relationships with clients to better understand their needs and preferences

Requirements:
- Fluent in both English and the target language (Norwegian or Sami)
- Proven experience as an interpreter or translator
- Excellent verbal communication skills in both languages
- Strong knowledge of cultural differences between English-speaking countries and Norway
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in using translation software is preferred but not required
