We are a well-established and highly reputable restaurant in Nairobi, seeking a talented Indian Chef to join our team. As our ideal candidate, you will have a passion for cooking and creating delicious Indian dishes. You will be responsible for preparing authentic Indian cuisine with traditional cooking techniques and ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and create Indian menu items that are in line with our restaurant's theme and standards
- Ensure timely and efficient preparation of all dishes
- Maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety regulations
- Order, receive, and inspect ingredients to ensure quality and freshness
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with purchasing supplies as needed
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and specials
- Adhere to portion control standards to minimize food waste
- Strictly follow recipes while also adding your personal touch to enhance the flavors of our dishes

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Indian Chef or similar role in a reputable restaurant or hotel
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, spices, herbs, and cooking techniques
- Ability to create authentic dishes from various regions of India
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail in food presentation and plating
- Understanding of food safety regulations
- Ability to manage kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent communication skills

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1300$ per month for this full-time position.
