Executive Chef
As an Executive Chef for our prestigious restaurant in Nairobi, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests. You will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and creativity while leading a team of talented chefs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
- Create innovative menus that cater to different tastes and dietary restrictions
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, hygiene standards, and safety procedures
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment
- Collaborate with management to develop budget plans and cost-effective strategies
- Ensure compliance with health codes and regulations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail with a passion for creating exceptional dishes
Requirements:
- Must be a Kenyan national or have a valid work permit for Kenya
- Fluent in English
- Degree in Culinary Arts or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Chef
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Salary:
