Reference Librarian

Our library in Vilnius is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Reference Librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patrons find the information they need, strong research and communication skills, and a keen attention to detail. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1300$. As our library serves a diverse community, we welcome candidates of all nationalities and backgrounds.

Responsibilities:
- Provide reference services to library patrons, including assistance with research, use of library resources, and locating materials
- Develop and maintain the library's reference collection, ensuring it is up-to-date and relevant to the needs of our users
- Collaborate with other librarians to create and deliver instructional programs on research skills and information literacy
- Stay current on new technologies and resources in order to provide innovative reference services
- Help with collection development by recommending new materials for purchase based on patron needs
- Participate in outreach efforts to promote the library's resources and services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science or related field
- Strong knowledge of reference sources, research methods, and information literacy principles
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Customer service-oriented attitude with a desire to help others
- Familiarity with library automation systems preferred
