Long Haul Truck Driver

We are a transportation company based in Akron, seeking an experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials over long distances, typically between states or countries. You will operate a heavy-duty truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Transport goods and materials over long distances, usually between states or countries
- Operate a heavy-duty truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate logs of driving activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues before and after trips
- Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Adhere to company policies and procedures

Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with good driving record
- At least 2 years of experience as a long haul truck driver
- Ability to operate heavy-duty trucks in a variety of weather conditions
- Good communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is a plus)
- High school diploma or equivalent education level
- Physical stamina and ability to spend long hours on the road
- Attention to detail and good time-management skills
