Executive Chef
We are in search of a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Bergen. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing our entire kitchen operations, managing a team of chefs and ensuring the quality and consistency of all dishes served. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $1000 per month.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively
- Extensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Creative and innovative with menu planning and development
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including ordering, inventory, scheduling, and budgeting
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high levels of productivity and quality standards
- Develop menus that are creative, diverse, and seasonally appropriate
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times
- Monitor food costs to maintain profitability
- Collaborate with purchasing department to source high-quality ingredients at competitive prices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and open communication
