Responsibilities:

- Prepare and bake a variety of desserts, pastries, and other sweet treats according to set recipes or customer requests.
- Develop new pastry recipes and keep up-to-date with industry trends.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure all food safety standards are followed during preparation and storage.
- Decorate pastries using various techniques to create aesthetically pleasing presentations.
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
- Train new staff members on pastry making techniques and procedures.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to create dessert menus for special events or occasions.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role.
- Knowledge of different pastry-making techniques and methods.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes that meet customers' preferences.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Attention to detail for precise measurements during recipe preparation.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with other team members.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent. Culinary education is preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in creating various pastries, cakes, cookies, etc.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
