Preservation Architect


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Balzers, working on projects for our clients in Pakistan and Africa. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings, structures, and sites in their original condition. This role requires a deep understanding of architectural history, materials, and techniques, as well as strong project management skills.

Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough research on the history of the building or site
- Assessing the current condition of the structure and identifying areas in need of preservation or restoration
- Developing plans for preserving or restoring the building while maintaining its original character
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the project is executed successfully
- Identifying and sourcing appropriate materials for preservation/restoration work
- Overseeing construction work to ensure it aligns with preservation standards and guidelines
- Providing guidance on proper maintenance techniques to ensure long-term preservation of the structure

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in preservation architecture, preferably working on historical buildings/structures/sites
- In-depth knowledge of architectural history, materials, and techniques used in various time periods
- Strong project management skills with proven experience managing complex projects from start to finish
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to think creatively and problem-solve when faced with challenging preservation scenarios
