Part-Time Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis in Braga. As the Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our company's databases. This includes troubleshooting any issues, ensuring data integrity and security, and implementing changes as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Troubleshoot and resolve any database issues or errors
- Implement database changes in line with business requirements
- Ensure data is properly backed up and recoverable in case of disaster or system failure
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data
- Collaborate with developers to design efficient database structures for new applications
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and other techniques
- Provide technical support for end users

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Hands-on experience with SQL databases (MS SQL, MySQL)
- Experience with database design, implementation, and maintenance
- Knowledge of database security best practices
- Familiarity with disaster recovery procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
Salary: 1500$ per month for part-time work.
Location: Braga - accommodation can be provided if needed.
