Typesetter

We are currently hiring a skilled Typesetter to join our publishing team in Svalbard. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text, images, and graphics to create visually appealing and error-free documents for print and digital publications. The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team setting.

Responsibilities:
- Format and arrange text, images, and graphics according to design specifications
- Proofread and edit material for spelling, grammar, and layout errors
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and production staff to ensure high-quality publications
- Maintain organized files of all documents and design elements
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and software updates related to typesetting
- Meet tight deadlines while producing accurate work

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a typesetter or similar role
- Proficiency in desktop publishing software (e.g. InDesign) and graphic design tools (e.g. Photoshop)
- Strong understanding of typography principles
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field (preferred)

Salary: $1100 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Svalbard (open to all nationalities)
