Pastry Chef
As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and baked goods for our restaurant located in La-Condamine. We are looking for a creative and skilled professional who is passionate about pastry and has a strong understanding of flavor combinations, baking techniques, and presentation. Your role will involve menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and overseeing the production and plating of all pastries. You will also be responsible for managing inventory and ensuring food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining restaurant setting. A culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to our restaurant's menu
- Develop new dessert menus based on seasonality and availability of ingredients
- Ensure all pastries are produced with high-quality standards in taste, presentation, and portion size
- Manage inventory levels of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Train new pastry cooks in baking techniques and recipes
- Maintain cleanliness of the pastry kitchen area
- Adhere to food safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or certification preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, flavor combinations, and plating presentations
- Ability to manage inventory levels effectively
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Team player with strong leadership skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary starting at $1600 per month depending on experience.
