Instrument Technician

We are hiring an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team on a contract basis in Bergen, Norway. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments and equipment used in the oil and gas industry. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in instrumentation and a biometric passport to work in a diverse and challenging environment.

Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of instruments such as flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature transmitters, control valves, etc.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools.
- Perform regular maintenance on instruments to ensure proper functioning.
- Calibrate instruments according to manufacturer specifications.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and resolve complex problems.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while working on equipment.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience working with various types of instruments such as flow meters, pressure gauges, temperature transmitters, control valves, etc.
- Biometric passport is required for this position.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation principles and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with other team members.
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
- Flexibility to work on call or overtime when needed.
