Instrument Technician
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Bergen. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of instruments used in the production and processing of oil and gas. This includes but is not limited to control systems, sensors, transmitters, analyzers, and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot various instruments according to manufacturer's specifications
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of all instruments
- Diagnose and repair any instrumentation issues in a timely manner
- Calibrate instruments for accurate measurements
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to optimize instrument performance
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Instrument Technician
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and instrumentation principles
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
- Experience working with control systems such as SCADA or PLCs
- Familiarity with safety protocols in an industrial setting
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
