Head Chef - São Paulo, Brazil
Are you a talented and experienced Chef looking for a new challenge in São Paulo? Look no further! We are currently seeking a Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and create delicious dishes for our guests.
As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu creation, food preparation, and inventory management. You will also manage a team of cooks and ensure that all dishes consistently meet our high-quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a Chef, with a strong background in Brazilian cuisine. You must also have excellent leadership skills and the ability to work well under pressure. A degree in Culinary Arts is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to our standards
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Strong knowledge of Brazilian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff
- Experience managing food costs and inventory levels
- Knowledge of health codes and regulations
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts preferred
