Part-Time Android Developer

We are in search of a skilled and experienced Android Developer to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality, user-friendly mobile applications for our clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other developers to deliver top-notch solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the Android platform and be able to develop innovative and efficient solutions. This position is based in Svalbard but remote work may be considered for the right candidate.

Salary: $1500 per month (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Write clean, maintainable code while adhering to coding standards
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall code quality
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing codebase
- Continuously research and stay updated on new technologies, frameworks, and industry trends
- Participate in team meetings and discussions to provide input on project timelines, feature planning, etc.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience developing mobile applications for the Android platform
- Strong knowledge of Java programming language and Android SDK
- Experience working with third-party libraries and APIs
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Good understanding of UI/UX design principles
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Good communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with biometric passport technology
- Knowledge of Kotlin programming language
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git

Location: Svalbard (Remote work may be considered)
