Janitorial Assistant

As a Janitorial Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facility in Braga. Your main duties will include sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, dusting surfaces, cleaning restrooms, and emptying trash bins. Additionally, you may be required to perform light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor plumbing issues.

We are seeking an individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic to join our team. Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate should also possess physical stamina and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors on a daily basis
- Dust all surfaces including desks, shelves, and windowsills
- Clean restrooms by wiping down sinks, toilets, and mirrors
- Empty trash bins and replace liners as needed
- Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor plumbing issues
- Adhere to all safety regulations while using cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Notify management of any damages or necessary repairs

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is a plus
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning supplies
- Physical stamina to handle prolonged periods of standing, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills
