Contract Instrument Technician - Os, Norway
As a Contract Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of various instruments and control systems in the oil and gas industry. This role requires a strong understanding of technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot issues and ensure all instruments are functioning properly.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on various instruments and control systems
- Perform repairs as needed to ensure all equipment is functioning properly
- Calibrate instruments according to manufacturer specifications
- Troubleshoot issues with instruments and control systems
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work
- Collaborate with engineers to improve instrument performance
- Communicate any issues or concerns with management in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Instrument Technician in the oil and gas industry
- Strong understanding of technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues with instruments and control systems
- Proficient in using various hand tools and specialized equipment for maintenance and repairs
- Familiarity with safety protocols in the oil and gas industry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
-Mobile training or certification in instrumentation preferred
Working Conditions:
This is a contract position based in Os, Norway. The successful candidate will be expected to work full-time hours on a rotating schedule. Accommodation will not be provided.
Salary:
Salary for this position is $1000 per week. This is negotiable based on experience.
