Preservation Architect

As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving the historical and cultural integrity of buildings and structures. You will work closely with clients, government agencies, and preservation organizations to ensure that architectural projects meet preservation standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting site surveys and evaluations to determine the historical significance and condition of buildings
- Developing preservation plans and proposals for clients, including cost estimates and timelines
- Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to design preservation solutions
- Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from government agencies for preservation work
- Overseeing construction work to ensure it adheres to preservation guidelines
- Conducting research on historical materials, construction techniques, and architectural styles relevant to projects
- Documenting all aspects of preservation work for future reference and educational purposes
- Providing expertise on conservation techniques, materials, and technologies to clients and project teams
- Staying up-to-date on preservation laws, regulations, and best practices in order to provide accurate advice to clients

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture with a focus on historic preservation or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Architect with a focus on historic preservation projects
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, building materials, construction techniques, and conservation methods
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines for historic preservation in the city/country where the job is located (Ashdod)
- Excellent communication skills (in English) to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders such as clients, government officials, contractors etc.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines
- Ability to travel for site visits as needed
