Executive Chef
We are hiring an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Oslo. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen staff management. You should have a strong background in culinary arts and excellent leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage menu plans and food inventory
- Ensure quality and consistency of all dishes
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Monitor and control food costs and waste
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of culinary arts, including various cooking techniques, ingredients, and food sanitation
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with other departments and communicate with staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Education/Experience:
- Degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as a chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
Salary:
$1400/month (negotiable based on experience)
Working hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week (flexibility required for busy periods)
