Indian Cuisine Chef
We are hiring an experienced Indian Cuisine Chef to join our team in Bungoma. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating authentic and delicious Indian dishes, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, and managing kitchen operations. You should have a strong knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and traditional recipes. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as an Indian Cuisine Chef and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare traditional Indian dishes according to recipes and menu specifications
- Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks accordingly
- Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with management on menu planning and development
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Indian Cuisine Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, spices, cooking techniques, and traditional recipes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage kitchen staff effectively
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Good communication skills in English
Salary: $1400 per month
Location: Bungoma, Kenya (Preference for Indian nationals)
