Crane Operator
We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join our team in Malindi. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites. You will also be responsible for inspecting and maintaining the craneβs safety features, monitoring load weights and equipment functionality, and following safety protocols at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites.
- Inspect cranes before each use to ensure proper functionality.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Monitor load weights and adjust crane movements accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations and any incidents that occur.
- Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure efficient operations.
- Perform routine maintenance on cranes as needed.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during crane operation.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a crane operator in a construction setting.
- Valid certification or license to operate cranes.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for crane operation.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills.
Salary: $900 per month with potential for increase based on performance.
Location: Malindi, Kenya. Accommodations may be provided for non-local candidates.
