Job Title: Preservation Architect

The Preservation Architect will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the preservation and restoration of historic buildings and structures in Monte-Carlo. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preserving architectural heritage and a strong understanding of historical preservation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of historic buildings to determine their condition and the necessary preservation measures
- Developing preservation plans and designs based on historical research, building materials, and structural considerations
- Overseeing preservation projects from start to finish, including coordinating with contractors, engineers, and other professionals
- Ensuring that all preservation work is completed in accordance with local regulations and standards
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Maintaining accurate records of all preservation work, including budgets, timelines, and project details
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in historic preservation or restoration projects
- Strong understanding of architectural history and styles
- Knowledge of traditional building materials and techniques used in historic structures
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with local regulations and standards for historic preservation in Monte-Carlo is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French or Italian is a plus
Salary:
The salary for this position is set at 1400$ per month.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position without accommodation provided. The candidate must be eligible to work in Monte-Carlo regardless of nationality.
